Amazon’s Outlet Page: Feature Your Products on The Deals Page with the Biggest Discounts!

Table of contents

The season of gifting is upon us, and as many of us know all too well, it's a pricey time. Many have heard of Amazon's Today's Deals page (after all, it's the 2nd most visited page behind the homepage), but, bargain hunters and smart savers, we present to you The Outlet page.

See below for the steps to identify your FBA ASINs which are eligible and, if they are, how to set up an Outlet Deal.

Is my selection eligible?

  • Have inventory in Amazon Fulfilment Centres for at least 90 days
  • Have more than 10 units of inventory on-hand
  • Have a sales history
  • Products to be in new condition
  • Have a product rating of at least 3 stars or no reviews
  • Show a reference price
  • You are not currently enrolled in Subscribe & Save
  • You are not currently enrolled in another deal promotion such as Lightning Deals
  • Have not appeared as an Outlet deal in the past 60 days
  • Compliance with Amazon’s customer product reviews policies and price policies.

How do I get my products onto the Outlet Pages?

  1. From the Inventory drop-down menu in Seller Central, select ‘Inventory Planning’.
  2. Click on the ‘FBA Inventory tab’.
  3. To filter for eligible inventory, click on ‘Create Outlet deal’ in the ‘Show Recommendations’ by setting.
  4. From the drop-down menu to the right of the eligible item, select ‘Create Outlet deal’.
  5. In the pop-up window, enter your price in the Outlet deal price box. Your price must be less than or equal to the maximum price, which is filled in by default.
  6. Review the start and end dates of your Outlet deal.
  7. Click ‘Submit’.

The Outlet page provides an additional avenue of value recovery for FBA items selling very slowly. It's the first step in Amazon's FBA value recovery services which should help recover more value for overstocked items, rather than having to return or dispose of unsold items.

If you would like to speak to us about running Outlet deals or any other FBA value recovery options, click on the 'Let's talk' button at the top right corner of the page to set up a meeting with one of the team.
