Whether you love it or hate it, analysing data plays an essential role in understanding the full picture of your products’ success on Amazon. Since Seller Central doesn’t have every piece of relevant information ready to download, we have invested in third party tools to ensure we keep track of everything.

After asking our brand managers which tools they use most often and for what data, we have narrowed down three killer tools that we recommend to anyone selling on Amazon.

First up is Helium 10. Helium 10 is the ultimate Swiss Army knife for Amazon sellers. With a suite of 20 tools designed to help you with almost everything, from keyword research to product listing optimisation, this tool has got you covered. Helium 10 even has a feature called "Frankenstein," which allows you to merge different keywords into one powerful super-keyword. I mean, who wouldn't want a super-keyword, right? It has a lot of different functions, and it can be used across multiple teams to gain access to different types of data.

Our PPC team love the Magnet and Cerebro tools available for keyword research, and our Product Development team love the Black Box and Trendster tools for product research. Our copywriters use Cerebro, Scribbles, Frankenstein, as well as Index Checker for SEO, listing optimisations and creative writing purposes!

Keepa on the other hand gives you access to a whole host of data that is not available on SC. Their features include:

In short, Keepa is like having a crystal ball for Amazon pricing. This tool tracks the price history of millions of Amazon products and provides you with detailed graphs and charts so you can see exactly when prices are likely to go up or down. This is a game-changer for Amazon sellers because it allows you to make data-driven decisions about when to buy and sell products. Plus, with Keepa, you can set up price alerts so you never miss a deal.

Our team mainly uses Keepa for BSR historical data, price changes, price history, and new product entries. Talking about the last one, here is a step-by-step video on how we get this data:

  1. Head to Premium Data Access
  2. Add in “Root category” and filter out to the correct product by adding in “subcategories” and “title” text fields.
  3. Find Products
  4. Then, you can look at the “tracking since” column to look at when that product entered Amazon. Use pivot tables to see how many ASINs were added each year.

This is super helpful when comparing YoY sales and looking at the wider macro factors affecting your progress.

Last but certainly not least, we have Camel Camel Camel. Despite what the name may suggest, it is an incredibly powerful Amazon price tracker. Camel Camel Camel tracks the price history of millions of Amazon products, just like Keepa, but it also has a nifty feature called the "wish list importer." With this feature, you can import your Amazon wish list into Camel Camel Camel and track the price history of all your desired products. Our Brand Managers love this tool when deal strategy planning for our clients or to help track competitors’ prices to react quickly and accordingly.

And there you have the top three tools we use that are sure to revolutionise the way you do business on Amazon. Helium 10, Keepa, and Camel Camel Camel are like the three musketeers of Amazon selling, ready to help you conquer your niche and achieve your sales goals. Give them a try and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed.

Our Amazon team is ready to help you succeed.
